Portland Preschool Learning Garden – A small-scale, residential preschool learning garden designed to encourage wild abandon and delight in the very early years of education. The Outdoor Stage is a source for community gathering, inspiration and sharing, as well as to serve as a place for learning. The terrain is designed to provide sensory exploration, wildlife habitat, and edible and ornamental variation for discovery.

Sun King Learning Garden – A 7-acre, residential learning garden designed to assist local school children in learning to connect with food. A companion piece to the design was to integrate production-style beds that community members would tend. The overall goal was to donate food surplus to the local food bank, while long-term connection of people and place would cultivate an awareness towards care for earth.
